Train travel, not very good weather

Hi there!!

Yesterday I had a walk and today I had to take someone to the airport (someone, you know).

There are good and bad things about weather. It's not nice to go out, but once you do it, you can see the refreshing and inspiring views of the rainbow

Also over the city centre. Something special, always.

I would like to call this one as "a ray of light".

Then, in the train, you can see the "auto drive" mode :)

A nice shot with never-ending rows of dots (Oslo airport)

Finally, the real "midnight sun". Unique.

Market day and fireworks!!

It's very typical in the city that Saturday is the market day.

You will find several streets closed to the traffic because of that, even on a rainy day as it was last Saturday.

Things you can buy vary from cloths, books, shoes and even fresh food that is made by the people selling it to you!

I can tell you that the prices are not as good as we would like them to be, but at least not as high as they are in shops.

At night, I enjoyed the "Fireworks concert", it was held in Youngstorget by the great Kampen concert band. The played beautiful songs from the XX century

The last song was played with fireworks!! They were fired at the same time as the music.

Nice right? And everything for free!!

Ekeberg - Great views of Oslo

If you are in good shape, you may want to go to Ekeberg walking, but if not, then it's better to go there by tram :)

Line 19 takes you up to the hill with little or none effort

Once you are there you can do 2 things: eat in one of the most expensive restaurants of the city or take photos. You can bet what I did ;)

It's really beautiful because all the hill is covered by trees and it's a nice place to have a small walk around. I went up by bicycle.

Sognsvann - An amazing forest and lakes

Sognsvann is a public park in the outskirts of Oslo. At first sight it is just a lake which you can walk around.

Once you start walking, you see other people walking as well, or riding bicycles (warning, not all paths allow bicycles). Also families and people alone. Everyone.

It is really a forest. The trees are old and there are many. Also you can see that some of them have been removed, just to make sure that the forest can growth properly

When walking around you can see other paths that get into the forest. They take you to other places, deeper in the forest or up to the hill. It's always interesting to explore around.

I went on following my orientation sense (which it's not very trustworthy) and followed one path up hill. When After 30 minutes walking, I found other lakes on top of that!!!

The path was not always easy. There were obstacules and some mud, but nothing to be afraid of... hehe

Once up there, the feeling is like the time has stopped. There's nothing to worry about, just enjoy the moment.

I hope you liked it. At this time, I just had to go back to the starting point. Nothing difficult.

Norsk Teknisk Museum

Sometimes, Sunday is a good day to visit a musseum, because they are free :)

Today, I decided to visit the Science musseum in Oslo, it is called the Teknisk Musseum and it is located far away from the center. It takes 45 minutes to get to there by tram.

It seems to be an interesting place because the first thing I saw was the TV cameras in action for some report or interview

Then, many interesting things. First, some old devices for recording. Magnetoscopes.

Then, the first synthetisers ever made. From the 70s and 80s. This one below was like the one used by Vangelis for the "Blade runner" movie soundtrack. It mixes digital sound with analogue filters:

This is a surprise, the lokomovil:

I took many pictures, as they have a wide range of machines and devices. Here just several examples.

Commercial plane with capacity for several passengers:

One of the oldest "Vespa" you can find. Dated 1947:

Authentic "patch panel" (operator is not authentic... hehe)

IBM computer (I find similatiries between this model and the WOPR computer ;)

Music day in Oslo

Today, it's been the Music day in the city. I could find several concerts on the street with free entrance.

Also, there was a German exhibition going on at Akerbrygge :)

German food

Good Summer!!
